Terms of Use
Last updated: April 17, 2026
These terms cover your use of Bitbook, a stand-up comedy organizer for iOS. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t, please don’t use the app.
The Short Version
- You can use Bitbook on your Apple devices.
- Your jokes and content are yours. Bitbook doesn’t claim any rights to them.
- The app is provided as-is, with no promise that it’s bug-free.
- Don’t try to reverse-engineer the app or abuse collaboration features.
License to Use Bitbook
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Bitbook on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app, or attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract its source code.
Apple’s Standard EULA
Unless a custom agreement is posted, Bitbook is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. Where those terms and these overlap, the stricter of the two applies. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Your Content
Everything you create in Bitbook — bits, sets, performances, recordings, notes — belongs to you. Bitbook doesn’t claim any ownership of it, and no one else has access to it. You are responsible for your content, including making sure you have the right to record any audio or video you capture.
Acceptable Use
When using Bitbook, please don’t:
- Use the app to violate any law, or to record people without their consent where consent is required.
- Abuse the collaboration features to harass, threaten, or send unlawful content to other users.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or probe the security of the app or iCloud infrastructure.
- Try to extract or repackage the app’s code, assets, or design.
Disclaimers
Bitbook is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. There is no guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss will never occur. Back up your work.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitbook is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the app. Total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it (which, for most users, is zero).
Termination
You can stop using Bitbook and delete it at any time. The app may be discontinued, in whole or in part, at any time. These terms continue to apply to your past use of the app even after you stop using it.
Changes to These Terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, stop using the app.
